Dear Bloggers,
just wanted to let you know about the outage 2 days ago. Our nameserver provider had severe problems with their nameservers. The result was that none of our domains was reachable for some time. We talked in detail with our provider to make sure that something like this will not happen again in the future. One measure we will take is to have additional independent nameservers as backup.

Dear Bloggers,
Google changed the way it user agents behaved, resulting in googles feed-fetcher beeing blocked by our anti-spam software ... i just noticed and fixed that, this might have resulted in having problems using any of googles RSS tools in the last days (translation service, googlereader, google blogsearch etc)
Everything is back in order now.

Dear Bloggers,
as the spam and attacks keeps coming we tracked it down to one big source, and blocked the whole country, as their providers did not react to our emails.
So if you should ever visit Kasakhstan bear in mind that you will not be
able to blog your experiences from within the country.

we just improved the loading speed of your blogs by removing the prototype.js library from all wizard design blogs.
If you need some of its functionality, you have to include it manually with a javascript widget in the head of your blog.

Hey Bloggers,
you might notice a big "gap" in your statistics today between 15:30 and 16:25 (CET).
This was caused to a big glitch at Google leading to ALL your sites (actually all sites in the world) beeing flagged as "Malware" / Dangerous, preventing users from klicking the link that leads to your site ... as most of our blogs do get a lot of search traffic you might notice something like this in your Statistic tools:
The Green bar Represents Searches that end up on a blog, as you see if only google "stops" working for a while, this has a big impact on all of us.

Rss feeds can now be turned off in your blog settings, thought you might now, this option is also used for future widgets which can be put on external sites to display your newest posts etc, we gonna develop something like this in spring.
